Hey, I'm Kay!
I am a wedding photographer based in South Carolina who documents real people on one of the most chaotic, emotional, beautiful days of their lives. I’m originally from New Hampshire, spent some years in Montana, and now call the Carolinas home, which means I’ve learned to adapt fast and carry bug spray in every camera bag.
Photography has always been part of my life, starting with me bossing around my siblings for home video scenes. Eventually, that evolved into photographing families, and then weddings. I fell in love with documenting the kinds of moments you can’t stage. I’m not here for stiff poses and fake smiles, I’m here to catch the real stuff.
My approach is simple: stay calm, stay close, and know where the Tide pen is at all times. I keep things organized, stay aware of what you need before you even say it, and work quietly alongside your vendor team to make sure everything flows the way it should. I photograph weddings how they actually feel, warm, emotional, sometimes messy, often hilarious. I aim for true-to-color with just enough mood to give your gallery some depth.
I’m a solo parent running this business solo, so multitasking and thinking ten steps ahead comes naturally. I’ve got two boys, a dog with attachment issues, a cat who judges everyone, and a rambunctious little puppy. My life’s a little chaotic, but that’s probably why I thrive in wedding environments. I work best with couples who are a little unconventional, don’t take themselves too seriously, and want photos that feel like them.
If you’re looking for someone to document the real moments while keeping the energy calm, the schedule on track, and your dress from dragging through red wine, I’ve got you.
